AMMC & TESORO IRON DOG

2008 IRON PUP 120cc XC

BIG LAKE, ALASKA

In conjunction with the start of this year’s Tesoro Iron Dog, AMMC will hold a 120cc “Cross Country” race. Just like the Iron Dog, this will be a team event with each 120 racer riding with his/her parent or guardian. The course will be on Big Lake to maximize spectator opportunities and will be approximately 2-3 miles in length. Each team will make multiple laps with a desired race distance of approx. 10 miles. This is designed to be a fun event for both racers and spectators.

Rules:

Entry fee for all teams will be $25.00

Must have a working tether switch (120cc machine only) and snow flap

All Drivers must wear a helmet, goggles, chest protector, shin guards, boots.

All 120 riders will receive a special Iron Dog t-shirt with the AMMC logo

Teams will line up in the chute and start at 15 second intervals. Follow the marked race course for the designated number of laps and finish in the same chute. The course will be determined just prior to race day but is planned to be approx. 2-3 miles in length on the lake surface for a total of 10 miles.
